At the end of the week the fire department visited our school. Our class was able to learn more about fire safety. Students saw and held materials the firefighters use. They were also able to climb into the fire truck and hug Sparky.

Fire Prevention Week
This week our school participated in "Fire Prevention Week". Students had the opportunity to create a poster which displayed the importance of smoke alarms. The entire student body had the opportunity to create a poster. We were so excited to see that one of our classmates was recognized for her outstanding work.
At the end of the week the fire department visited our school. Our class was able to learn more about fire safety. Students saw and held materials the firefighters use. They were also able to climb into the fire truck and hug Sparky.
Students also participated in a relay race around the playground. It was a great end to a fun and educational week about fire safety.
