The 13 Nights of Halloween
Today we had a lot of fun reading the story "The 13 Nights of Halloween", by Rebecca Dickson. After we read the story we learned the song as a class and preformed it in front of each other. After each Halloween day the students had extra sounds or actions that they acted out. Ask your child to sing and act out the song for you! It was A LOT of fun!
PUMPKIN MATH!
We had a fun time learning math concepts through pumpkins. During our activity, students smelled, listened, touched and felt different size pumpkins. Our pumpkins were all weighed and we discussed the similarities and differences with every pumpkin. The pumpkins were cut open and groups of students counted all of the pumpkin seeds. The students were amazed and astonished how many seeds are in a pumpkin. After counting the seeds students graphed, measured and labeled their information.
